Kian in the hospital

Kian was very sick this winter. In late Jan. he started having seizures. In Jan and Feb we took some trips to the ER and lots of Dr. visits. Kian even got to ride in an ambulance. On March 3, they decided to check Kian into the hospital. We spent almost three weeks there. Kian was pretty miserable. The first days were terrible. They thought Kian had a brain infection caused by HSV. This infection can cause terrible outcomes. Luckily, they decided it was caused by the Adenorvirus, which usually causes no long term problems. Kian is behind in his speech and motor skills because of his encephalitis. But he is doing great and they tell me that within 3 to 6 months he should be back to normal. He just started to walk and will soon start speech. He says hi and bye. We thank every one who prayed, fasted, helped with dinner and washed clothes. We are so thankful that we have such great families and friends.
